I’m Emma-lee! And I have been photographing families and couples in love for almost 10 years now. I’ve captured some of the first professional photos of newborn babies and the last of parents and grandparents. And I’ve realized just how important our job is. The art of photography is one of the best ways to preserve memories and legacies - even after we’re long gone.

I have designed the Client & Creative workshop for artists who want to enhance their photography by learning how to evoke emotion and memories when capturing images for clients. Anyone can grab a camera and take a nice photo, but what does it take to execute your creative vision while also documenting fleeting moments for families, couples, mothers, friends, and more?

This one day workshop is for lifestyle, wedding, and portrait photographers - this is for anyone who wants to become a better storyteller. I’m so excited to gather with you and share some of what I’ve learned from photographing hundreds of faces and feelings.

What to expect

11am - 5pm

We’ll be covering a range of topics from making meaningful connections with your clients, to what goes into creating storytelling images.

We will be gathering in White Cottage Gathering’s beautiful historical home in Haileybury. Pam from Foods by nature will be providing a delicious greek inspired lunch.

There will be an opportunity to photograph a cozy in-home couples session in White Cottage Gathering’s bright and inviting space. After this, I would encourage you to edit some of your favourite photos from the day. This will be a great time for questions, conversation, and editing tips & tricks.
